Fox News & Dominion Settle
In November 2020, the Dominion Voting System was used in the US presidential election. Following the election, some supporters of former President Donald Trump and conservative media outlets, including Fox News, made false claims that the voting machines had been rigged or manipulated to change votes from Trump to President Joe Biden.
Dominion Voting Systems, a company that provided voting machines and services for the election, filed defamation lawsuits against Fox News, as well as against individuals including Rudy Giuliani and Sidney Powell, for making false claims about the company and its role in the election.
In its lawsuit against Fox News, Dominion claimed that the network spread false claims about the company in an effort to boost ratings and support Trump's false claims of election fraud. Dominion is seeking $1.6 billion in damages, alleging that Fox News knowingly broadcast false and defamatory statements about the company.
Fox News has argued that it was providing its viewers with accurate news coverage and commentary, and that its coverage of the election was protected by the First Amendment's guarantees of free speech and press freedom. However, Dominion has pointed out that the First Amendment does not protect knowingly false statements made with the intent to harm someone's reputation.
This week Fox News settled with Dominion Voting System avoiding litigation and paying $750 million to Dominion.
The Perspective of the Left:
The settlement was a victory for Dominion in the fact that they received an apology from Fox News in the form of $787.5 million. Fox News won because they did not have to send Tucker Carlson, Sean Hannity, and Rupert Murdoch did not have to take stand and actually tell the truth. The American people lost because we will never know the extent that Fox News lies and they will continue to be the propaganda machine that they are.
Additional Left Bias:
AOC: ‘Better for country’ if Dominion had secured Fox News apology
The Perspective of the Right:
The case was settled and we will never know if Fox News acted with ‘actual malice’. Actual malice is required for defamation cases to be charged. Fox News is unlikely to be on the line for the full $757.5 million and it is time to move forward. The extreme left will use this as an opportunity to mute news organizations, like Fox, that disagree with them and we cannot let that happen.

Ralph Yarl Shooting
Ralph Yarl, a 16-year-old Black boy from Kansas City, Missouri, was shot by Andrew Lester, an 84-year-old white homeowner, after going to the wrong house to pick up his younger twin brothers. The incident occurred because Yarl rang the doorbell of the wrong house by mistake, and Lester, thinking that Yarl was attempting to break in, shot him twice, once in the head and once in the arm. Yarl has been discharged from the hospital and is recovering at home.
The Perspective of the Left:
America has a problem with a pandemic of extremely racist Americans that are obsessed with guns. In America, in 2023, you should not come close to losing your life for knocking on the wrong door. If Ralph Yarl was white he would not have been shot and close to losing his life.
Additional Left Bias:
The Perspective of the Right:
Given the details that have come out Ralph Yarl absolutely should not have been shot for a mistake, however, the details are still being uncovered. The White House inviting the victim to D.C. throws out the door any innocence before proven guilty. The White House is interfering with an active investigation and politicizing a potential crime.
Additional Right Bias:
Sen. Fetterman Returns to Office
Democratic Senator John Fetterman returned to work at the U.S. Senate after receiving treatment for clinical depression. Fetterman, who flipped a Republican-held seat in the 2020 midterms and expanded the Democrats' majority by one seat, was hospitalized for depression from mid-February to late March. He will chair a hearing on the food stamp program, SNAP, along with two other senators who were previously hospitalized for medical reasons.
The Perspective of the Left:
Senator Fetterman’s comeback story is one that we can all learn from. More than 57 million Americans struggle with mental health illness and many don’t seek treatment. Fetterman being strong enough to realize he has an issue, seek professional help, step away from politics and work on his health should be a lesson for us all and celebrated.
Additional Left Bias:
The Perspective of the Right:
John Fetterman is less mentally capable of holding office than President Biden. Just look at Fetterman’s opening statement as committee chair where he stumbles over just trying to simply read a prewritten speech. Fetterman can barely read, let alone be a senator.
Additional Right Bias:
John Fetterman’s opening committee hearing statement raises concern: ‘Not remotely well
Fetterman admits he was 'not the kind of senator' Pennsylvanians deserved when hospitalized
Abortion Pill Ban Delayed
On Friday the Supreme Court voted to protect the Abortion pill, mifepristone freezing the lower court’s rulings that placed restrictions on the access to the drug. The abortion pill is still able to be distributed by mail as the pill continues down a long road of review back in the lower courts.
The Perspective of the Left:
The Supreme Court sending the decision to send the case back to the lower courts and pauses a ban is the right move in allowing women to chose their own healthcare. The abortion pill, mifepristone was declared safe by the FDA over 20 years ago and provides women the ability to make their own healthcare decision regardless of where they live.
Additional Left Bias:
The Perspective of the Right:
The left wants to have a federal government that is able to control their will on Americans removing any state power. Liberals want to allow abortions without restriction for all nine months of pregnancy. Republicans cannot allow the media to control perception that this is an unpopular topic to stand up against. Republicans need to remain logical and unabashedly pro-life.

2024 Election:
This week Robert F. Kennedy Jr. announced he is running for president. Kennedy is the second candidate to announce for the democratic party. Surprisingly the left is more critical of Kennedy than the right, primarily due to Kennedy's stance on vaccinations. Both sides of the latest candidate below:
